The Reading Chair
The Reading Chair is our flagship product and played a key role in kick starting Heim Furniture as a brand. The original prototype was designed as a part of the capstone project in the Fine Furniture program at Camosun College where it went on to win the award for best chair in the year-end exhibition.
Drawing from the greats of Danish modern design, the Reading Chair inspires a sense of warmth and lightness in its simple form and thoughtful details. Its shape and posture are meant for active use, rather than the pure relaxation that other lounge chairs might provide. This chair would be most at home in a patch of sun next to a window, with a selection of reading material within arms reach.
