The Reading Chair
The Reading Chair is our flagship piece and is the design that helped launch Heim Furniture as a brand. The original prototype was created as part of a capstone project in the Fine Furniture program at Camosun College, where it went on to receive the award for Best Chair in the year-end exhibition.
Inspired by the greats of Danish modern design, the Reading Chair evokes a sense of warmth and lightness through its simple form and thoughtful details. Its posture is intended for active use rather than the deep relaxation typical of many lounge chairs. It feels most at home in a patch of sunlight beside a window, with a good book within arm’s reach.
